GCN Conference 2013: The Schedule

The GCN Conference begins Thursday, January 10, at 5pm and ends Sunday, January 13, at 1pm.

Two optional events will be taking place on Thursday prior to the opening of the conference:
- GCN Women's Retreat: 2pm - 5:30pm (Registration begins at 1:30pm)
- Volunteer Service Project: Throughout the day on Thursday

A tentative schedule is posted below. Please note that this schedule is subject to change:


THURSDAY, Jan. 10

All Day - Optional Service Project

1:30-2:00 p.m. - Women's Retreat Check-In/Registration

2:00-5:30 p.m. - Women's Retreat

5:00-8:00 p.m. - Check-In/Registration

6:30-7:30 p.m. - Optional First-Timers Meeting

8:00-9:30 p.m. - General Session 1 *
The conference kicks off with a warm, welcoming opportunity to worship, learn about GCN's past/present/future, and meet other conference attendees to make sure first-timers and returning attendees alike have a great time.


FRIDAY, Jan. 11

2:30-5:00 p.m. - Film: Seventh-Gay Adventists
Screening of a poignant new film about the lives of several gay Christians with varying perspectives, including two GCN members whose relationship with one another and with straight family members is a major focus of the film. Will be followed by Q&A with the GCNers from the movie.

DINNER/FREE TIME

7:00-8:30 p.m. - Breakout Session D **

9:00-11:00 p.m. - Sharing Time
A GCN tradition and one of our most popular events; an open mic will be available for attendees to briefly share stories of God's work in their lives during the weekend.


SUNDAY, Jan. 13
10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. General Session 4 * & Closing Activities
Featuring liturgical worship and communion

1:00 p.m. - Close of Conference


* General Sessions include music, worship, announcements, skits, and speakers. These are fun times that everyone comes together to be in God's presence.

** Breakout Sessions offer different classes and small group activities in different rooms at the same time, so you can choose the groups and topics that appeal to you. The listed sessions are subject to change; descriptions will be provided at conference.
