FULL/HALF-DAY SEMINARS

A seminar is a great way to get your church or other group talking about the issues that most affect you. GCN seminar events include time for discussion, networking, and education, in a fun, engaging format. We'll plan the event, provide the content, and tie it in with your church or group's specific needs and goals. Offer it to your members for free, or charge an entrance fee and use it as a fundraiser.

Available seminars:

Seminar #1 - Best for churches that are just beginning to wrestle with LGBT issues and/or do not have an established LGBT outreach program. It's perfect for answering basic questions and concerns about homosexuality in the church, or moving sleeping congregations to action. Topics covered include:
· Jesus Loves My Gay Neighbor... Now What Do I Do About It?
· Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Gay People (But Were Afraid to Ask!)
· Stories of Today's Christian Youth
· The Bible and Homosexuality
(For Side B churches, this seminar will explore a Side B perspective. For churches seeking to explore both sides, this seminar will present both.)

Seminar #2 - Best for churches with established LGBT outreach and/or significant LGBT membership that want to become more effective. Topics covered include:
· Reclaiming the Bible for LGBTs
· Answering Your Christian Critics
· Reaching the Next Generation of LGBT Youth
· Increasing Your Church's Effectiveness in the Modern World

Multi-Church/Group Seminar - Seminars are also a great way to educate your local community! GCN can help you collaborate with other local churches or organizations to share costs and put on a major local event to impact your community. Multi-church seminars include many of the same topics listed above, designed to fit your community's needs.

JUST A PRESENTATION, PLEASE

For a shorter event, GCN Executive Director Justin Lee can speak to your university/college group, church, or other organization on a topic of your choosing. Add time for Q&A, meet and greet, or panel discussion if you wish. Learn more about Justin's talks.
