BRIAN: Welcome to this special Christmas edition of GCN Radio. This is Brian...

JUSTIN: ...and this is Justin.

BRIAN: We're awfully happy to be here. This is my favorite show of the year. I was thinking that before we started, Justin, because we get to hear from a whole bunch of people today. People wishing a Merry Christmas to all of gay Christiandom.

JUSTIN: And not just the gay Christians...everybody!

BRIAN: That's right, all of our supporters, yes.

JUSTIN: That's right.

BRIAN: I'm so excited to have been working with the show for now two years, with GCN Radio. My goodness sakes, who would've thought two years ago that we would've completed more than thirty programs. It's exciting work. I am so excited to be part of this ministry and working with someone who I respect so much, and who has done so much for all of us as Christians. Thank you for all you do, Justin.

JUSTIN: Oh, that's so sweet. You know, I'm thrilled to be working with someone who I love and respect--and that's Jesus because... [Laughter] I'm just teasing!

BRIAN: [Laughter]

JUSTIN: No, I do love and respect Jesus too, but no no no no! I'm thrilled to work with you Brian, you're an awesome guy and a great friend. And of course, I don't know how many people realize this, but this show would not happen without Brian. Brian works so hard to put these shows together, and there's all this behind-the-scenes work that goes into doing this. Doing a show where we can sound like we're in the same studio, even though we're very far apart. Thank you Brian for all you do.

BRIAN: Well, thank you very much, Justin, I appreciate that. But, as you said, we do have our one Boss, the Man in Charge is Jesus, and that's why we're here. So without any further ado, we're heading into your Christmas greetings that you called in. But before that, I just want to say for my part that I wish you all a very merry and blessed Christmas, and a safe and happy 2006.

JUSTIN: Oh yeah. Definitely. And for all those of you out there in GCN Radio listener land, we're going to be taking a few weeks off after this show. So this will be our last show for 2005 and then we will be returning sometime in January with some new shows, a new format, and who knows what else. So from all of us to all of you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and don't forget that Jesus is the reason for the season.

BRIAN: Amen.

[Jingle bells]

JOSEPH: Hello, my name is Joseph, in Texas, and I'm bringing Christmas greetings to everyone at GCN. I pray that God's Holy Sprit will bless each of you. I pray that God will give each of you courage and strength this Christmas, and may all that you want for Christmas be Jesus Christ. And may all your Christmases be blessed, and remember to be strong and courageous as you prepare for the new year. And may you by Christ back in Christmas. May God bless each of you, and may God fill you up with His hope and joy. Amen.

SCOTT: Hello, GCN! Here are the best Christmas gift suggestions that I've found for this year:
To an enemy, forgiveness.
To a friend, you heart.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example,
And to yourself, respect.
Merry Christmas from Scott, in Vancouver, Canada.

RICK: This is FloridaSon. Luke 2:8: "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And Lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the Glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not! For I bring you glad tidings of great joy for all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a saviour, which is Christ, the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: You shall find the babe, wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Glory be to God in the highest, and on earth, peace and goodwill toward men.'" This is FloridaSon wanting to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. God bless you all. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the conference. Bye!

MIKE: Hey everybody. So Brian, SeattleB Brian, called me from work and wanted to do this Christmas message on GCN Radio, but he's sick right now and doesn't have much of a voice. So he called me to ask me to do it for the two of us. So this is Mike, WildVolkswagen, and SeattleB, Brian, calling from Seattle to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas. God bless you all, love and peace, and hope you have fantastic holidays.

DIANA: Hi, MOMinOR. Here. I want to wish GCN and each person there a Christmas to remember. May we encourage and uplift one another in the new year before us, and thank you Justin for your dedication and God bless all of you. Thanks again, bye!

JIM: [singing]
I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play
And wild and sweet,
Their words repeat,
Of Peace on Earth, Goodwill to men.

Hi, this is JimMD and I want to thank every one of you for being so loving and caring. I want to pray for all of you in Iraq, all of you who are going through a war within yourself, and just thank you for all the blessing of the year, and for the new one to come. Merry Christmas.

MATT: Hey there, this is Matt, otherwise known as ItsJustMe and I just wanted to wish everyone a very very Merry Christmas. Hope everyone's doing well. Take care, and have a great holiday! Bye!

ROBBIE: This is Rev. Robbie Ousley, aka ROusley on GCN, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. To Brian, Justin, and all GCN ministers and ministries, and to all who support GCN in any way. And to everyone who is struggling with faith and diversity: if it ain't gentle love, then it ain't God. Be assured that God loves and cares for you beyond comprehension and beyond anyone else's opinion. So enjoy the season with the peace of God in you and be confident that God is there with you all the way. May God motivate and invigorate you for Him more than ever throughout the coming year. God bless, and Merry Christmas.

WILLIAM: Hi everybody, it's William here, aka LeftyDragon76. I just want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. And may God in his infinite mercy continue to bless each and every one of you, this day, and always. God bless, and Merry Christmas.

BILL: Hi, I'm Bill from Missouri, otherwise known as GurTus. It's my prayer that the miracle of the incarnation fill your heart with peace and joy as you accept that the overwhelming love that God has for you, though Jesus, the Christ. May 2006 be marked for you by increased grace, peace, and purpose in Christ. My thanks go to all of you who work with Justin to make GCN a growing community. God is blessing our community, and thank God for GCN.

MATT: Hey everyone, this is Matt, Romans6, with a Christmas poem by Luci Shaw called Mary's Song.

Blue homespun and the bend of my breast
keep warm this small hot naked star
fallen to my arms. (Rest...
you who have had so far
to come.) Now nearness satisfies
the body of God sweetly. Quiet he lies
whose vigor hurled
a universe. He sleeps
whose eyelids have not closed before.

His breath (so slight it seems
no breath at all) once ruffled the dark deeps
to sprout a world.
Charmed by dove's voices, the whisper of straw,
he dreams,
hearing no music from his other spheres.
Breath, mouth, ears, eyes
he is curtailed
who overflowed all skies,
all years.

Older than eternity, now he
is new. Now native to earth as I am, nailed
to my poor planet, caught that I might be free,
blind in my womb to know my darkness ended,
brought to this birth
for me to be new-born,
and for him to see me mended
I must see him torn.

Something to think about. Merry Christmas you guys, love you all!

DENNIS: Hey guys, it's Dennis from Kingston, Massachusetts. Just called to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you. I'm praying for you and thinking of you. See you!

NIKKI: Hey everybody this is Nikki. Wow! This has really been an awesome year for GCN, hasn't it? Anyway, I wanted to wish everybody a Merry Christmas. I hope it's really yummy and have lots of yummy food and presents and all that, and a really good new year and I'll talk to you guys soon. I love you guys so much! Bye!

TODD: Ahoy me mateys, and Merry Christmas! From Pirate479. Hope your holidays are filled with snow and mistletoe and loves of love! Merry Christmas.

GEOFFREY: Hey everybody, Geoffrey here. Merry Christmas. And yes, I'm the guy who spells it GEOFFREY. Hey, besides giving every one of you a big Christmas hug, I wanted to give a word of encouragement to all of you who are returning home and dealing with the overwhelm of dealing with family. Remember, each of your family members are dealing with their own issues. If they say something negative to you, that's more about them than it is about you. You know God's thoughts toward you: they're of love and courage and hope. Look inside yourself for the strength and confidence in knowing that you're loved and worth loving because God loves you and has accepted you. Peace and love and courage to each and every one of you. And may GCN and its leadership continue to be a source of hope and inspiration to the Gay Christian community in this coming new year.

VOICE: Christmas greetings. I want to express my heartfelt Merry Christmas to all GCNers this Christmas 2005. I'd like to express my gratitude to everyone who has contributed to making GCN the success that it is. I just want to wish everyone blessings of health, prosperity, and contentment this Christmas and into the new year and may God's rich gift of peace be near to each and every one of you. Again, Merry Christmas and blessings for the new year.

ALMA: Hello everyone, this is Alma from England and I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Hopefully it will be a very blessed time for all of you, and I'm particularly thinking of those of you who are going to spend Christmas without your families this year. I obviously can't be with you physically, but you won't be spending Christmas alone because you'll definitely be in my thoughts and in my heart and in my prayers. And remember that the day is about Jesus and Jesus will be with you so you won't be alone. And I'd also like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. And I hope that this new year will bring a lot of love from God and help you grow in God and that you will feel his unconditional love so powerfully. I can tell you that he loves you all so very much, because he poured all of his love for all of you into me, daily, and this is why I love you all so very much. That's it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you! Bye bye!

Quotable
"There is growing up in society a Pharisaic system which adds to the Commands of God the precepts of Men; to that system I will not yield for an hour. The preservation of my liberty may bring upon me the upbraidings of many of the good, and the sneers of the self-righteous; but I shall endure both with serenity, so long as I feel clear in my conscience before God."
