Why has our website turned green?

GCN's website is green for a week to celebrate our growth! We have 5 growth-related announcements to coincide with this celebration.

Announcement #1: Take a look at these graphs!

Last year, Justin shared some graphs showing the growth of GCN's online community. This year, we wanted to show you the most up-to-date versions of those graphs.

First, here's a look at the number of new registrations on our website every month. Each bar represents a 30-day period back to the inception of our website. (Click the image to enlarge it in a new window.)



As you can see, we are continuing to attract more and more people on our website, and now receive over 250 new registrations on our message board each month. (The two big spikes you see correspond to the publicity we received from The New York Times and the LOGO network.)

This has had a major impact on the activity on our website, as demonstrated by this graph of our message board posts per month.



We are now averaging almost 40,000 posts a month on our message board. It's more than enough to keep our staff and volunteers busy!
