GCN Raffle Official Rules
This raffle is being conducted by The Gay Christian Network (GCN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, in its Raleigh, NC, office, according to the laws of the State of North Carolina. All net proceeds from this raffle will benefit the operation and charitable activities of The Gay Christian Network. Eligibility is limited as required by law. Void where prohibited.
To enter online: Visit the online raffle ticket page at https://www.gaychristian.net/raffle/tickets.php. Choose the number of tickets you would like, then fill out the requested contact and payment information. Once that is accepted, you will be assigned a unique number for each of your tickets. Your ticket number(s) will be displayed on your screen and sent to you in an email for future reference.
To enter by mail: To enter without a credit card, follow the steps above, then print off the form and send it with your check to: GCN, PO Box 17504, Raleigh, NC 27619. Your ticket numbers will be sent to the email address you supply on the form. Checks must be received by March 30, 2010. Entries received after this date will not be eligible, regardless of postmark. GCN is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected mail.
The drawing: The raffle drawing will take place on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the GCN office. A live webcam stream is planned to broadcast the drawing; however, all winners will also be notified by email, so it is not necessary to watch the webcam feed in order to win. A ticket will be drawn at random for each available prize. Each ticket may only win one prize; however, an individual who has purchased more than one ticket may win more than one prize.
The prizes: A list of prizes is available at http://www.gaychristian.net/raffle/. Each prize will be awarded to the person whose ticket number corresponds to the drawn ticket for that prize. Donated Disney tickets have expiration dates and may not be resold; rules and details regarding them are available upon request by contacting the GCN office.
Bonus prize: A bonus prize, as detailed on the prize page, will be awarded to the one individual who refers the most friends and family members to purchase tickets, as determined by the number of times that person's name is mentioned as a referrer by unique ticket purchasers. In the event of any ambiguity, GCN staff will be the final judges of the bonus prize winner. In the event of a tie, a drawing of the tied names will determine the winner.
Winning: Winning numbers will be announced during the live drawing and posted afterwards on GCN's website. Winners will also be notified by email to the address provided at purchase. If a winner does not respond within 30 days and cannot be reached through the best efforts of GCN staff, an alternate number will be drawn to win the prize.
Tax information: Please note that according to US law, raffle ticket sales are considered purchases, not tax-exempt donations, because you have a chance to win a prize. If you would prefer to make a tax-deductible donation instead, you may do that by visiting our support page.
